Vishu is currently a final year MBChB student at The University of Auckland. In 2015, he was awarded dux of Kelston Boys' High School, and was part of the UoA Young Scholar's program where he passed a mathematics paper with an A+. A recipient of both Otago University's Academic Excellence, and the prestigious UoA scholarship, Vishu also gained an NZQA scholarship in chemistry in year 12, and in year 13 he gained a scholarship in Calculus, Statistics, Chemistry, Physics, Biology, and English.
He was also selected to attend the prestigious Rotary National Science and Technology Forum. Vishu was also selected by The Royal Society of New Zealand to attend the Harry Messel's International Science School in Sydney, where only 6 students from New Zealand were chosen.
Outside of academics, Vishu was the vice-captain of his high school's Theatresports (competitive improvisation) team, where his team were champions in both Auckland and Rotorua. He is also passionate about professional wrestling. Vishu is always enthusiastic to meet new people, and you can find him playing video games or indulging in chocolate.
