Yash is studying a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery at the University of Auckland. He received an A+ grade for each of his pre-med courses, with a keen interest in medical and biochemical sciences.
He was a Lead Student and key tutor at Botany Downs Secondary College, fostering a passion for mentoring from an early age. He helmed one-on-one tutoring initiatives and was heavily involved in Maths and Science mentoring.
During his final year he was a recipient of an NZQA Premier Scholarship Award, earning Outstanding Scholarships in Biology, Calculus, Chemistry and Statistics, and Scholarship in Physics. This was complemented with a Scholarship in Calculus and Physics in Year 12, and a Scholarship in Calculus in Year 11.
In his spare time, Yash enjoys reading, dancing and listening to music. He likes to indulge in his creativity, and knows a thing or two about tennis and badminton.
